Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco

Thank you Marlene Dean & Danita Crombach for supporting Luggage of Love in the 2011 Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco. Marlene competed in the full

marathon which is 26+ miles. The money you raised for Luggage of Love is so gratefully appreciated. I can not thank you enough for what you do, you two are my angels! You are truly making a difference.

Blessed to be the new Miss California Intl 2012!!!

On September 10th, 2011 I was crowned as the new Miss California Intl 2012. I will champion my cause Luggage of Love and advocate for foster & shelter children, adoption awareness, and abused & neglected children. I will continue my efforts with Casa Pacifica Children's Shelter, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Food Bank, Feeding America, The Backpack Program, numerous Social Service Agencies throughout California & Nevada, and the American Cancer Society, just to name a few.

A little bit about me and my organization...

Luggage of Love is an non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to providing each child in shelter and foster care with a brand new piece of luggage so that they will never have to move from one location to another with their belongings in trash bags. I started Luggage of Love based on my own personal experiences as a homeless child who was physically, sexually & mentally abused. Being a product of the system and in such a vulnerable state as it was...I found it humiliating to have my personal effects put into trash bags. It was degrading to say the least. So I vowed to myself that one day I would make a difference and that is just what Luggage of Love has been doing since June of 2008.
