Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening for Johnny Rockets Restaurant

This evening I attended the ribbon cutting for Johnny Rockets Restaurant at the Promenade in Camarillo. Johnny Rockets is an international restaurant chain with a nostalgic atmosphere. The chain prides itself in an all-American look and feel, tabletop jukeboxes and authentic décor. It was a pleasure to be apart of this event and I am glad to have an establishment such as this in our town.

40th Annual Viva la Comida

This evening I attended the Camarillo Rotary Club's 40th Annual Viva la Comida fundraiser. Each year the club invites the community to come together to enjoy an exciting, delicious and fun-filled evening with all of the flavor of old Mexico. The funds collected at this event supports the Camarillo Family YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo, and the Rotary Club's youth organizations, Interact and Rotaract. This was a wonderful fundraiser and I am happy to have attended.

Geoff Dean for Sheriff Fundraiser Event

It was an honor and pleasure to have been in the company of so many influential people within our community this evening. Mr. Dean was very informative about his plans for Ventura County. On a more personal level he believes in children from backgrounds such as myself who, if given the opportunity, can and will do great things. I was able to share my story as well as my organization, "Luggage of Love", with many of the attendees. I feel very blessed to have done so.

Ribbon Cutting at Zac & Betty's Barkery

Last night I attended the ribbon cutting for Zac & Betty's Barkery. What a great idea. These two ladies have started an eco-friendly company that makes treats that are Grrrrreat for your dog. Their treats are handcrafted & decorated and made with organic and all natural human grade ingredients. No added sugars or preservatives!

Please check out their website and visit their store. You will not be disappointed and your dog will love you for it!

Happy New Year to Everyone!

As last year has drawn to an end, I can honestly look back and say that it was the best year ever. The organization I founded, "Luggage of Love", has grown tremendously, and it warms my heart to see how many people have embraced what I do. Not only was I named the Youth Volunteer of the Year for my City, but I was honored with the title of Miss Teen California Intl 2010. I have met so many people who have inspired me to do great things, and I look forward to what 2010 will bring my way.
