This evening my Board of Directors of Luggage of Love and I attended Dining with the Dogs. All proceeds from this event went to supporting the National Police Dog Foundation, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department's K-9 Search and Rescue Team and the Sheriff Department's K-9 unit. All of which
depend on private funding in order to operate. I had such a great time supporting this charity! The event was at the beautiful Camarillo Ranch and was complete with a yummy dog-shaped cake and a silent auction with wonderful items. All of the attendees had the opportunity to play and interact with the dogs one-on-one, several of the officers and their dogs held
training demonstrations, and two cute German Sheppard pups were on hand that are in training to potentially become police dogs. What an amazing event for a worth while organization.
